We search the HR Manager (m/f) for the Subsidiary of a multinational Food Group, the position is based in the area South-East Lower Saxony.

Purpose of Role:

The HR Manager provides HR partnership for business unit German Management team, client groups in the country in the areas of business leadership, talent leadership, change leadership, and culture stewardship.

  • will support the coordination and development of people plans for the direct business area based on business knowledge and market trends including identifying critical organizational capabilities: you will work with business HR and other HR areas (e.g. the respective talent leader)
  • will support the alignment of compensation and rewards to business strategy, compensation structure to be competitive in the industry; you will ensure the business performance measures are aligned at the individual level and linked to compensation and incentives
  • will work with business managers to work out industrial relations/labor strategy approaches, in line with strategy, and you will own collective labour agreement negotiations for the locations in the designated area – in alignment with country management
  • will support / contribute / lead the BU HR projects
  • will support identification, assessment, calibration, development, placement and deployment of talent: you will contribute to talent management initiatives in the business and you will provide support for integrated talent management processes, understanding the talent needs and issues before they impact the business. You will closely cooperate with business HR
  • will coach individuals and teams and build strong capabilities in the local management teams
  • will champion diversity and inclusion within the business; you will support diversity strategies for the business and translate it into local initiatives
  • will identify, evaluate, and manage risks to the business relating to employees
  • will ensure HR services are aligned with culture, compliant with country policies and regulations
  • will analyze the link between employee engagement and associated costs; you will champion engagement in the organization
  • will report to the Client HR Manager

Qualifications

  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Bachelor or Master degree (or country equivalent degree)
  • 5-8 years of Human Resources/Business experience
  • Experience in leading industrial and labor relations and collective bargaining processes in Germany
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and implement people processes and HR solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple union and works council relationships in Germany
  • Demonstrated track record in taking initiative, working independently and handling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to partner, build, and sustain positive working relationships with both managers and employees, works councils and unions
  • Knowledge of local labor and employment laws and understanding of their impact on the business
  • Fluent in German with strong fluency in English
  • Conflict management and resolution skills
  • Solid business acumen, including fundamentals of finance and managing budget
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration with different parts of HR
  • Strong drive for results with practical, result and outcome focus
  • Business partnering and customer orientation
  • Basic change management skills
  • Emotional and cultural intelligence
  • Ability to present data and information in a logical, concise manner to business
