We specialize in placing Human Resource professionals.

The position is located in Thüringen, Germany. Responsibilities include developing and implementing human resources strategy in support of the business strategy and objectives; cooperate with works council including negotiations in controversial topics; providing focused and effective recruiting activities to support the business needs; manage the day-to-day business in the HR department.                                       

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, organize and control activities of the HR department, develop department goals and objectives. Manage customer feedback to ensure that expectations of the HR function are met and initiate actions when required
  • Cooperate with works council including negotiations in controversial topics
  • Promote, support and participate in continuous improvement as an integral part of the HR function, recommending new approaches, programs, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency of the department and services provided
  • Provide coaching, counseling and policy guidance to management and employees; handle issues timely, consistently and effectively to reach resolution and promote positive employee relations
  • Lead an effective recruitment and selection process that will identify qualified talent and meet local staffing needs
  • Identify training needs that attract, retain and develop talent; identify high potential employees and formulate a succession plan for key positions
  • Deal with all labor law relevant topics

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required; Master's level education preferred; professional certification a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources Manager experience required. Experience in a global manufacturing environment preferred. Works council experience required
  • Proven and demonstrated knowledge of HR principles, practices, and accomplishments required, including strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Professional interpersonal skills, verbal/written communication skills and presentation skills required, in German and English language
  • Must be detail-oriented, have highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish credibility at all levels of the organization through confident communications and actions based on integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required; experience with HRIS applications/systems strongly preferred
